First Grade News:

GRADE 1 BOOK NOOK

The Book Nook will be open daily for Grade 1 beginning on Monday, November 3rd from 8:00-8:20 a.m. in the school library.  Students will be able to borrow one book on their easy reading level to practice at home.  Parents are asked to sign the form located in their child’s assigned book bags each night to show that they listened to their child read.  Then return the book and signed form and your child may take out another book.

The Book Nook will be in operation thanks to our fifth grade students, Rachel Cook, Emily DeBonis, and Jayden Santos and our adult volunteer, Mrs. Kim Cook.  Thank you for all the time and effort that you put in to help our young readers.

PRACTICE, PRACTICE, PRACTICE - We remind the children each day that practice will help them get better at anything they do.  They prove this each day with their increase of reading levels and their improvement in spelling and writing skills.  We are proud of their hard work and accomplishments so far.

Keep watching for those Book Nook bags to be coming home every day.
