Sixth Grade News:

Happy New Year to all from 6th Grade!
We have been busy beavers learning about cells and cell division in science and adding, subtracting and multiplying fractions in math.
Our cell division lessons directly relate to our upcoming unit on human reproduction.
Also integrating with cell division and reproduction is our latest research project on human diseases. Each student chose from a list of 8 diseases such as chicken pox, measles, ringworm and scabies to research and report on. Students are enjoying all the intricate details.
In Social Studies we have started our study of the Civil War.
We have read the book Bull Run and play the " Civil War Battle Game" everday.
